Matrona z Perge – na czele podwójnego klasztoru w Konstantynopolu
Abstrakt:
Matrona z Perge w Pamfilii żyła na przełomie V i VI w. Najbardziej znana jest z tego, że spędziła 3 lata w przebraniu eunucha w męskim klasztorze w Konstantynopolu. Podczas gdy jej inne osiągnięcia – jak założenie pierwszego podwójnego klasztoru w Konstantynopolu czy też udział obok igumenów męskich klasztorów w opozycji wobec polityki religijnej cesarza Anastazjusza I – jak dotąd nie zostały zbadane w literaturze naukowej.

Matrona of Perge – at the Head of the Double Monastery in Constantinople
Abstract:
Matron of Perge in Pamphylia, lived in the late fifth and early sixth centuries. She is best known for spending three years disguised as a eunuch in a men’s monastery in Constantinople. While her other achievements – such as the founding of the first double monastery in Constantinople, or her participation alongside the igumenes of the men’s monasteries in opposition to the religious policies of Emperor Anastasius I – have so far gone unexplored in the scholarly literature.
